MARTHA OR MARY?

Luke 10:38-42

Mary and Martha

38 While “YESHUA” (JESUS) and his followers were traveling, he went into a town, and a woman named Martha let “HIM” stay at her house. 39 She had a sister named Mary. Mary was sitting at “YESHUA’S” feet and listening to “HIS” teach.40 But her sister Martha was busy doing all the work that had to be done. Martha went in and said, “LORD, don’t you care that my sister has left me to do all the work by myself? Tell her to help me!”

41 But the LORD answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are getting worried and upset about too many things. 42 Only one thing is important. Mary has made the right choice, and it will never be taken away from her.”

As you see Mary not only liked to serve the LORD, but also liked to listen to “HIM”. I mean that in the very moment "YESHUA" (JESUS) started talking, Mary stopped! Her service gave a screeching halt dry and stopped, left the dishes aside and sat at the feet of "YESHUA". Why? In order to listen, not just do things for “HIM”! After all, “HE” had "words of eternal life".

John 6:68

68 Simon Peter answered him, “LORD, where would we go? You have the words that give eternal life.

En casa de Marta y María

38 Mientras iba de camino con sus discípulos, “YESHUA” (JESÚS) entró en una aldea, y una mujer llamada Marta lo recibió en su casa. 39 Tenía ella una hermana llamada María que, sentada a los pies del SEÑOR, escuchaba lo que ÉL decía. 40 Marta, por su parte, se sentía abrumada porque tenía mucho que hacer. Así que se acercó a él y le dijo:

— SEÑOR, ¿no te importa que mi hermana me haya dejado sirviendo sola? ¡Dile que me ayude!

41 —Marta, Marta —le contestó “YESHUA” —, estás inquieta y preocupada por muchas cosas, 42 pero sólo una es necesaria. María ha escogido la mejor, y nadie se la quitará.

Como ves a María no sólo le gustaba servir al SEÑOR, sino que le gustaba también escucharlo. Quiero decir que en el mismo instante en que “YESHUA” (JESÚS) comenzó a hablar, ¡María se detuvo! Su servicio dio un frenazo en seco y se detuvo, dejó los platos a un lado y se sentó a los pies de “YESHUA”. ¿Por qué? Con el propósito de escucharlo, ¡No solo hacer cosas para ÉL! A fin de cuentas, ÉL tenía “Palabras de vida eterna”.

Juan 6:68

68 Le respondió Simón Pedro: Señor, ¿a quién iremos? Tú tienes palabras de vida eterna.

38 Atgadījās, ka viņi (YESHUA un viņa apustuļi , tālāk ejot, nonāca kādā ciemā. Tur kāda sieviete, Marta vārdā, uzņēma Viņu savā namā. 

39 Un viņai bija māsa, vārdā Marija, tā apsēdusies pie Tā Kunga kājām, klausījās Viņa vārdos. 

40 Bet Marta, aizņemta ar daudzām rūpēm par to, kā Viņu apkalpot, pienāca un sacīja: "Kungs, vai Tu neko nesaki par to, ka mana māsa mani atstājusi, lai es viena kalpotu? Saki jel viņai, lai viņa man palīdz." 

41 Bet Tas Kungs viņai atbildēja, sacīdams: "Marta, Marta, tu rūpējies un zūdies par daudzām lietām. 

42 Bet tikai vienas lietas vajag, Marija sev izraudzījusies labo daļu, tā viņai netaps atņemta."

Kā jūs redzat, Marija ne tikai patika, lai kalpotu Kungam, bet arī patika klausīties "viņu ir". Es domāju, ka šajā brīdī kad "Yeshua" (Jēzus) sāka runāt, Marija apstājās! Viņas pakalpojums un atstāja traukus malā un apsēdās pie "YESHUA kājām " Kāpēc? Lai klausītos, ne tikai darīt lietas, "viņu"! Galu galā, "viņš" bija "mūžīgās dzīves vārdi".
